Assembly of UK90 Hall Thruster is Almost Complete
The assembly of the UK90 Hall thruster is mostly completed. This 90mm diameter discharge chamber Hall thruster employs an LaB6 central cathode that is also built at BUSTLab. The design of this thruster has been made by BUSTLab graduate student Ugur Kokal under the guidance of Prof. Murat Celik and Prof. Huseyin Kurt. A significant number of parts of this thruster have been machined/manufactured by hand by Prof. Huseyin Kurt.
